Podcast Episode Title: Part II | August Bonus Banter | Rosé & Readings
Episode Description:
In the second episode of Rosé & Readings, a monthly bonus series from the Paranormal Playback podcast, co-hosts Charlie, Mel, and Lor return with another wine-fueled ghost girl happy hour, this time featuring PlancheTina-approved picks and some very chaotic EVP drama.
This haunted hangout kicks off with August’s rosé selections: Costco’s surprisingly good Kirkland Signature Rosé and the elegant, non-alcoholic TÖST Rosé, chosen for one reason only, “One wine for chaos, one for clarity.” As the bottles get passed around, the spirits start flowing, both figuratively and (maybe) literally.
In Part II of this month’s Rosé & Readings continues with chaos, clinks, and a few questionable interpretations, with Part II.
First up: Char hosts another round of Say What?!, where Mel and Lor attempt to decode mysterious EVPs. Is it “measuring tape”? “What’s your intent”? Or “pleasure tent”? You decide.
Then Lauren takes on Lore by Lor with her unforgettable retelling of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, complete with missing heads, mayoral affairs, and a witchy stepmother straight out of Tim Burton’s notebook.
Finally, we close with Tales from the Shadows: Bella Renee’s haunting encounter with a headless ghost named John and a hilarious naked cemetery chase courtesy of Sergeant Chaos.
PlancheTina’s Pick: Whispering Angel Rosé
Send us a Ghost Story, Listen, Follow, and watch below:
PlanchTina’s Pick
The spirit picks the spirits. This month, PlancheTina floated straight to a fan-favorite bottle that speaks in hushed tones and haunted hints of summer.
Is it the wine? Or is it the whispering? Only the ghosts know…
Kirkland Cótes de Provence
“It pairs best with candlelight, chaos, and a Costco card.”
—PlancheTina
This Month’s Pour:
Kirkland Signature Cótes de ProvencevRosé
From the fluorescent aisles of Costco to your haunted happy hour, this French rosé may be a budget bottle, but don’t let the price tag fool you. PlancheTina calls it “the emotional support rosé of paranormal investigators. Cheap. Reliable. Potentially cursed.”
Tasting Notes (according to Tina):
Color: Blush of a suburban ghost at her first séance
Nose: Tart raspberry, melon, and unfinished business
Palate: Dry, citrus-forward, with “did-someone-just-touch-me?” energy
Finish: Light, clean, and slightly chaotic
What Tina Says It Pairs With:
Ghost hunting on a Groupon
Oversized hats and undercooked drama
Telling your haunted doll you just need space
Rosé Rating:
Witchy AF | Hauntingly Good | Possessed | Flat as a Planchette
→ Hauntingly Good
TÖST Rosé (Non-Alcoholic)
Crafted with white tea, ginger, and elderberry, this zero-proof bubbly is for when you're haunted and hydrated. Tina calls it “the rosé you sip when your spirit guide tells you to take a break from wine… but not from chaos.”
Tasting Notes (according to Tina):
Color: Glow of a moonlit tarot spread
Nose: Elderflower, dried rose petals, and emotional boundaries
Palate: Crisp, gingery sparkle with a kiss of tea leaves
Finish: Clean, balanced, and just witchy enough
What Tina Says It Pairs With:
Crystal charging rituals and bad decisions you didn’t make
Ghost therapy
Summer spells and sober curiosity
Rosé Rating:
Witchy AF | Hauntingly Good | Possessed | Flat as a Planchette
→ Witchy AF
